    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    • TRIVIA (6)

      • The Molotov cocktail Shelby throws at Andrew's bar sign was actually filled with water, not alcohol. The scene was shot from three different angles to give the illusion of a fire and took around four hours to complete. The flames engulfing the sign were an illusion created by special effects coordinator, John Patteson. He used the same flame bar that was used in the episode Gibtown, where a museum catches on fire. The bar sign was a total loss, but that part was done in one take.

      • The elevator doors on the hospital set open and close by hand. It uses a counter weight and pulley system, which is commonly used on single-floor sets to mock real elevators.

      • The area where Jim and Callie meet Shelby and her dog Beau was filmed in Broward County's Everglades Holiday Park near Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Beau also starred in the episode Old Ghosts as the dog who bit Jim as he struggled with suspect Tommy Ray.

      • The discovery of Gordon Adams' body at the boat ramp was filmed at John U. Lloyd Beach State Park located in Dania Beach, Florida.

      • For the opening scene, a real glass bottom boat was used with a real body underneath it. An actor floated under the boat to get the shot but for safety purposes, a stunt diver stayed with him with a separate air tank.

      • The area where Daniel lures Frank Ford into giving him a "can of premium" is not really a filling station. It was built by the set decorating department and construction crew.
