The Gnarfs was an animated TV series for children from 2003 that was made in Germany. It was written by David Lloyd and Jeff Boyd and was directed by Jody Gannon. It was produced by Hahn film through Berlin Animation Film and the Berlin Film Company. The show follows two discarded robots named Freeman and Russ who crash land on a distant planet known as Moppa. On Moppa lives a simple species known as the Gnarfs who run around carrying cudgels to catch their 'chomp' with. Chomp is what they call their food. Freeman is a gentleman of a robot and decides to try to civilize the low brow Gnarfs. Comedy continually arises out of the Gnarfs utter lack of interest in what Freeman has to teach them and Freeman's obsessive need to change them. Freeman has a tiny tin robot dog named Russ. The show is light hearted and fun for the entire family.
