Rose tells Blanche and Dorothy about her near-death experience in which she found herself just outside the gates of Heaven. Her brush with death makes her determined to "live life to the fullest" and that means a schedule packed with partying, wild friends, and activities at all hours of the night and day. When Blanche and Dorothy call her on the chaos, Rose decides to move out.
Dorothy and Blanche miss her so much, that the decide to come to visit Rose at her new place on the beach. Rose does her best to cover up the fact that her roommates are less than the family-like friends she'd grown accustomed to with Blanche and Dorothy.
Saturday night Blanche finds that she doesn't have a date, and Dorothy is alone in the kitchen. As they're trying to figure out how to spend the evening, Rose appears in the back door and asks if they can do what they normally do - talk dirty and pig out. She's back to stay.
