Rose: (responding to Sophia's decision to pass along the sacred family recipe to her) I'm the queen? I'm the queen!
Dorothy: You're also the fool, so we're saving a lot on payroll.
Blanche: You know I'd love to spend the day with Oreo but...
Rebecca: Aurora, Mama, Aurora.
Blanche: Aurora, I have such a block against that name.
Sophia: Dorothy, you'll have to do the Dance of the Virgins by yourself.
Dorothy: Oh come on, Ma.
Sophia: You remember, it's just like the bunny hop except you have your legs crossed.
Dorothy: Ma you're making that up!
Sophia: I'm adding to it. Once a year the women of my village gathered for this festival, they danced, they laughed, they ate, it was a chance for mothers and daughters to be together. (to Rebecca) Don't do this to your mother, Rebecca, don't let your daughter grow up never knowing her grandma. I'm 85 and I'm still thankful for all the memories I have of my grandchildren.
Jason: (acting for Taming of the Shrew) Come, sit on me!
Blanche: (breaking part) Ooh! (resumes part) Asses were made for that and so were you.
Jason: Women were made for childbearing and so were you.
Sophia: When was the last time you had sex?
Dorothy: Ma, that's a very personal question!
Sophia: That long, eh?
Blanche: Aurora, I just hate that name, why couldn't you have named her something more colorful, more southern, more classy?
Rebecca: Sorry, Blanche. I know you don't like the name and I know you think I'm bringing her up wrong.
Blanche: It's not that, I just wish you wouldn't feed her when you come see me at the museum, do you see me taking my breast out in public...a lot?
Rebecca: (seeing Blanche's costume for The Taming of the Shrew) Look at you, and you used to yell at me for wearing halter tops.
Dorothy: And how is little Aurora this morning?
Rebecca: She was a very good girl this morning, just smiling and smiling and smiling. I know that sometimes it's just gas, but she looks so cute.
(Sophia pulls on Dorothy's shirt, Dorothy turns around, Sophia grins)
Dorothy: It's not cute once you hit 80, Ma.
Jason: (to Blanche while holding her grandaughter) Isn't she the most beautiful mother you ever seen?
Sophia: Grand, just grand.
Director: NEXT!
Blanche: Please...I've waited my whole life for this part.
Director: Long wait.
The title of this episode is a take-off of Tom Robbins' 1976 novel, "Even Cowgirls Get the Blues."
