When Blanche finds out that she and Rose have been writing stories that have been written, what did Rose mean when she said, If it's any consilation, they do it all the time on Mr. Belvedere. I know that Mr. Belvedere was a sitcom from the 80's, but i don't get the connection.

The main plot in this episode is Dorothy and Sophia spend a weekend in the Florida Keys to have quality time together because Dorothy is afraid of losing Sophia. I forgot to add that in there when i submitted this post.

I didn't watch Mr. Belvedere, but with Rose accusing the show of rewriting plots that have already been used, I'm guessing NBC's writers of The Golden Girls were probably taking a cheap shot at rival ABC's sitcom, which looks like it aired in the same time slot for part of its broadcast history.

I was thinking the same thing because they did that with Designing Women too on the show.
