I go with Betty as well.

Funny thing is I love Maude but loathed all the shows Betty was on except for the game show The Match Game.

betty white. she was just on ugly betty and she was really really funny. she actually had a line, the funniest of the night, about liking all of her fans except for the ones who write lesbian fanfiction about her and bea arthur. i was cracking up!

OMG I would love to hear that! XD LOL.

Anyway, I have to agree, Betty White all the way. I do love "Maude" though.

I would say it's a tie between Betty White and Estelle Getty. While Betty did have some commercials, tv spots and a movie or two, Estelle co-starred in at least two movies (the Sylvester Stallone one comes to mind).

It would've been nice to mee more of Bea Author the last few years. Offhand I can't recall her in anything the last decade or so. Even Rue McClanahan had a small part in Starship Troopers.

Definitely Betty White. However, I did catch Bea Arthur in an early episode of "Malcolm of the Middle". She played Dewey's babysitter, but her character unfortunately died.

The only substantial thing Bea Arthur has been in in recent years (since 2004) is the season 5 finale of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" (The End). I would definitely have to say Betty White as well. She has done numerous commercials as well as her common appearances on "Ugly Betty".

Betty White was in Lake Placid, she fed her husband and their cows to the giant crocodile.

Yeah, definetely Betty.....she did Ugly Betty, Family Guy, Lake Placid and that Steve Martin movie Bringing Down The House... and others.....though Bea Arthur was on Curb and of course Malcom In The Middle...very funny in that actually.

Though Rue is in a new show called "Sordid Lives" and I guess has a sex scene!! Saw a clip of it...kind of disturbing actually.

But Betty is who I want to see most in more stuff. Favorite was Lake Placid...she was cursing, using HORRIBLY filthy language that would set Rose's ears on fire!!!

Betty was also on Boston Legal over the course of 6 (or more, I'm just spit-balling) episodes. I them, she kills her husband by hitting him over the head with a frying pan, is found not-guilty at trial and then becomes a secretary for the firm.

I don't know quite how her storyline ends. It is in one of the very first seasons if anyone is interested.

I think it probably was Betty White, but I know that Rue was in several Lifetime movies and Bea had her one woman show too.
