Blanche: (reading Rose's letter) Dear Mr. Gorbachev, my name is Rose Nylund and I'm writing you because I'm really worried about nuclear war. I hear there are enough bombs to blow up the world 100 times. It scares me, and it also scares the members of my cadet troop. They talk about what they want to be if they grow up, not when. I'm asking you to unplug your bombs, and I'd be willing to bet my bottom dollar, or in your case, your bottom ruble, that if you called President Reagan, he would do the same thing, it's just that somebody has to be first. Your friend, Rose Nylund. P.S. Don't call the president in the afternoon, I hear that when he takes naps.
Dorothy: That was beautiful, Rose, you know it's a shame more people don't think like 9 year olds.
