This episode features ANOTHER joke referencing Anita Bryant. The gay wedding planner remarks to Blanche "Excuse me for living Anita Bryant." Her name is also mentioned in the episode where Dorothy and Rose write the song "Miami, You've Got Style" and Dorothy walks in after they lose the songwriting contest and says, "They told us to get out of the way when they took the winner's picture with Anita Bryant."
In this episode Sophia tells Max that Salvador, her husband, loved the beach and it was why he wanted to open a pizza business at the beach. Although in the Season 3 Episode 'Old Friends' Sophia tells Alvin that Salvador hated the beach.
When the fire alarm sounds in the beginning, Rose and Blanche run past the living room into the kitchen to call the fire department. However, it would have been quicker, easier, and smarter to use the phone in the living room.
As Dorothy is taking a shower, Sophia knocks on the bathroom door, steps in, and Dorothy lets her know that she'll be out in a minute. After about five seconds, Max walks into the bathroom thinking that Sophia is in the shower. When he realizes his mistake, he claims that he thought Sophia was in the shower. Wouldn't Max and Sophia have seen each other outside in the hall within such a short timespan?
When Dorothy answers the phone from the fire department letting her know that Max and Sophia's pizza/knish stand has burned down, the conversation lasts no more than five seconds! "Hello? What?! Oh, we'll be right there!" And that's it!
It is obvious that the scene where Dorothy and Max end up in the shower together is just the actors standing in a shower stall. First of all, there is no water running. And second when Dorothy leaves the shower after Max enters her hair is still perfectly coiffed and DRY.
Max: I tell you, that Disney World hotel was just wonderful... It had everything... good service, delicious food, beautiful room...
Rose: What did you think of the rides?
Max: They got rides?
Sophia: Don't worry about it. You had a good time and you never had to stand in line.
Blanche: You should do what I do, only smoke one cigarette after sex.
Sophia: Yeah, one pack will last her a lifetime.
Max: (tasting a Lifesaver) What is this, coconut?
Max: Don't yell, I heard you the first time.
Max: I want butterscotch. Do you have butterscotch?
Sophia: Does it read 7-11 across my forehead?
Rose: I don't understand.
Sophia: You should have that printed on a t-shirt!
