Dorothy wants Blanche to go out on her blind date so she can go to Beatlemania. Haha. Everyone says that they are Dorothy when they find the guy attractive. Blanche said, "I'm Dorothy's best friend. I'm filling in for her because she's dead." LMAO! Dorothy tells Sophia she convinced her Beatle to leave Beatlemania, and Sophia calls her Yoko Zbornak. Sophia calls Blanche ugly! Blanche says that she lost her own sex appeal, and Sophia says, "They're always the last to know." Haha, I love Sophia! The four women were all so great in this episode. With the comedy at its peak this season, it is unbelievable that Bea Arthur would want to leave. However, Golden Palace failed, IMO.moreless

    • Blanche: Jerry, I don't want to be treated like your equal!
      Jerry: You don't?
Blanche: No! I want to be treated much better than you!

    • Dorothy: (recalling how she met Don) Our eyes locked. It was kismet.
Don: And then you threw your underwear at me, didn't you love?

    • Blanche: Dorothy Zbornak, I just hate you! There you go, rubbing it in my face that I'm having a sex drought...while you're having a bumper crop!
Dorothy: And I'm expecting more rain!

    • Blanche: [entering the kitchen] I am nothing but a cheap, tawdry slut!
Rose: [sitting with her back to the door] Don't tell me... Is it Blanche?

    • Dorothy: He used some of his original work alright. "Dot, Dot, what a girl I got". The last words I heard as I sprinted to the parking lot were "When we shower we don't have to turn on hot". Ma, I have had a horrible night, so no jokes please.
Sophia: Of course not Dot. Dot, I gotta trot. Hey listen to me, I'm a Beatle!

    • Jerry: Why did you have me pick you up in a motel?
Blanche: They're throwing a cast Beatle party at the house and the last time I checked, Ringo was hanging over the toilet singing "Help!"

  • NOTES (3)

    • This episode is set up to be a turning point for Blanche. A man who finally fulfills her needs, and yet we never hear from him again. Not only that, in the Finale Blanche talks about how she's met a new man at the grocery store.

    • This episode flies in the face of Dorothy's character. Dorothy has always been the level headed, sensible, mature adult who sees things clearly. If this were one of the other girls dating some random guy from a tribute band, she would have something snarky to say about how silly it is, but up she goes and just involves herself with this man.

    • The tag at the end of this episode involves Don trying to pick up Rose by telling her that he is playing George this week in Beetlemania. This is not seen in syndication.
