Episode Recap

After watching Psycho, Dorothy, Blanche and Rose come into the kitchen, spooked. As they eat cheescake, Roses comments on how they are not alone. This leads to a series of flashbacks about how they all came to live with each other.

The first flashback starts off with Blanche meeting Rose in the supermarket. Rose had been evicted of her apartment because her landlord didn't allow pets and Rose couldn't help taking care of a stray cat. At first, Blanche finds Rose's goody-two-shoes attitude annoying and decides to keep looking, but when she sees Rose give away her beloved cat to a boy who had recently lost his, Blanche considers showing Rose the room.

The next flashback starts with Dorothy arriving at the house for an interview with Sophia tagging along. After Sophia's comments about the house, Dorothy was sure she made a bad first impression, but still got the room anyway.

Things do not start go good at first as Dorothy and Rose fought over a room and Rose breaks a vase that Blanche's late grandmother gave to her. To make amends, Rose takes everyone to Dairy Queen, her favorite restaurant.

The next day, a trip to the supermarket brings out their differences. Blanche raises up the bill with smoked oysters (Dorothy hearing of their powers took some too), while Rose keeps reminding the cashier of her mistakes. They decide to do their own shopping. After an argument about where the Raisin Bran should go, the girls begin to think that they weren't meant to live together. This leads to Rose telling one of her St. Olaf stories, which causes Blanche and Dorothy to laugh hysterically and they realize that getting along couldn't hurt and that they each have a mutual love affair with cheescake.

Back to the present, the girls, after almost finishing an entire cheescake, decide to go to bed, when Sophia tries to scare the girls with a kitchen knife in her hand ala Norman Bates laughing. The girls then decide that staying up a little later couldn't hurt.
