  • Season 7 Episode 26: One Flew Out of the Cucko...

  • All four cast members have appeared in every episode. The only other show to do this is Friends.

  • Dorothy says the final line of the series. She says "You will always be my sisters. Always."

  • At series end, Beatrice Arthur and Betty White are the only cast members who never had their title card changed in the opening credits. Rue's was updated in season's three which featured a scene from "Take Him, He's Mine, and five with a scene from "Sophia's Choice." Estelle's was updated in season five as well, with a shot from "Fiddler on the Ropes."

  • At the end Rose asks what they can say about seven years of fights, laughter and cheesecake. However, in Season Three's Three on a Couch, Dorothy tells the therapist they have been together five years, meaning Dorothy, Blanche and Rose lived together for 2 years before the series started. That would mean, by this episode, with the exception of Sophia, the girls have been together for nine years.

  • Dorothy gets married to Lucas in a church. This is actually forbidden in Roman Catholicism, since Dorothy and Stan got a divorce.

  • When Sophia snaps the picture of Rose and Blanche, she is standing behind Blanche, in which the picture should show Rose and Blanche hugging, but when the picture is shown, it looks as if it was taken with Rose and Blanche facing the camera.

  • Once again, Dorothy is getting married and Michael and Kate are nowhere to be found.

  • Season 7 Episode 25: One Flew Out of the Cucko...

  • Again, where is Miles? Rose is about ready to move in with her daughter Kirsten to be the 'Sophia' of her household all the while ignoring the fact that she and Miles were still very close just a few episodes back.

  • Season 7 Episode 24: Home Again, Rose (2)

  • When we first see the three women as heads in Rose's dream, Dorothy comments, "We look like a reunion of Henry VIII's wives."  In fact, only two of Henry VIII's six wives (Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard) were beheaded.

  • Season 7 Episode 23: Home Again, Rose (1)

  • If Rose went into cardiac arrest, apparently in the middle of the night, what hospital on earth wouldn't contact the relatives or people she lives with? In reality, the girls would have been informed.

  • Rose says that she and the people of St. Olaf don't believe in psychiatrists, and yet Rose has worked in grief counseling for many years. That has to be linked to psychiatry.

  • At the beginning of the episode, Blanche asks Dorothy for advice on how to entertain her young granddaughter. However, after the events of the episode "Beauty and the Beast" (which aired earlier this season), where Blanche's other granddaughter Melissa came to visit, you would think that Blanche would know more about how to act around a child.

  • In this episode, Blanche gets a visit from her grown daughter Janet and young granddaughter Sarah. However, in an episode that aired earlier this season ("Beauty and the Beast"), Janet sends her daughter Melissa for a week-long visit with Blanche, and that child was a 7-year-old brunette. In this episode, however, Janet has a little blonde daughter with her, who looks to be about 4 years old, and the plot advances as if Melissa doesn't even exist anymore. It seems that the writers had a plot inconsistency here--something that they did throughout the series--but it's unusual that they wrote Janet into the same season with two completely different kids.

  • If St. Olafians never go to doctors, or psychiatrists, how did Rose get addicted to prescription medication?

  • Season 7 Episode 22: Rose: Portrait of a Woman

  • Tom Villard who plays Randy Becker, Dorothy's ex-student, in this episode appeared once before on The Golden Girls. He played the role of Rick in the second season episode entitled "Vacation". Many may know him from the film, My Girl in the role as the hippie student in Vada's writing class.

  • Season 7 Episode 19: Journey to the Center of ...

  • According to Rue McClanahan's interview with TVLegends, this episode is her favorite.

  • In the first scene of this episode, Dorothy has a bowl of popcorn on her lap. The amount of popcorn changes between shots. It immediately goes from overflowing to being only about half full.

  • Dorothy sings "What'll I Do" and "Hard-Hearted Hannah". Blanche sings "I Wanna Be Loved By You".

  • When Blanche is performing for the guys at the Rusty Anchor, she sits in the lap of a man that just had hip surgery. However, when she starts to twirl the microphone around and round and loses control of it, the man who had hip surgery has no problem in standing quickly and running away from the table.

  • Season 7 Episode 17: Questions and Answers

  • Nitpick: It seems very odd that the girls would have gotten Rose a dog, especially one as large as Jake, in light of other episodes in which Blanche is totally against dogs being in the house (i.e. in the episode when Rose tries to hide a stray, and another when Sophia takes care of Dreyfuss).
