Sophia says to a dieting Blanche that she never weighed more than 100 lbs in her adult life, yet in Ro$e Love$ Mile$ (where Sophia goes to ask for Guido Spirelli's forgiveness), she states that she already fullfilled her goal to lose 200lbs.
Blanche becomes angry when Rose eats her "sensible meal" – a tuna quiche or a little pie as Rose calls it. Yet in the 5th season episode, "Love Under the Big Top", when Blanche offers to give up tuna fish because of the dolphin issue Rose points out that Blanche "hates tuna fish."
If Blanche put herself through the process of dieting and taking a picture in her wedding dress every year and Rose apparently knows of this tradition, why is Rose surprised when Blanche emerges in her RED wedding dress?
Dorothy: (gently) Ma, i'm gonna ask you a question and any way you answer it, i'll believe you. Did you tell John to go away my Senior Prom, because you didn't like the way he was dressed?
Dorothy: (loudly) LIAR!!!
(After she learns the truth about her senior prom)
Dorothy: I wanna have a little chat.
Dorothy: Come on, now, would it hurt to spend a little time with your daughter?
Sophia: (nervous) That remains to be seen.
John: Mrs. Petrillo! You haven't aged a bit!
(Sophia sits stone-faced in silence)
John: (repeating louder) Mrs. Petrillo, you haven't aged a bit!
Sophia: I can hear you. I'm not deaf! (muttering to herself in puzzlement) What, I haven't staged a hit?
Rose: I never got to go to my junior prom.
Sophia: Why not?
Rose: It was only for people named Junior!
Blanche: (violently shaking Rose back and forth) You ate my sensible meal! You ate my sensible meal!
Dorothy: Blanche! You're out of control!
Blanche: (coming to her senses) Oh my word, Dorothy. What was I doing?
Rose: (begins violently shaking Blanche to show her) This!
(Dorothy put her hand on Sophia's shoulder while she is sleeping and scares her)
Sophia: Don't take me death! don't take me!

Rose mentions that she likes to line the Gummi Bears up around her bed, and pretend she's "Gulliver".
In one of the adventure 'Gulliver' goes on, he winds up shipwrecked on an island known as Lilliput, with a race of people, the Lilliputians, who are diminutive in size. They are each about 6 inches tall, taller than Rose's gummies, but the reference still fits.
The title of this episode is a take-off of the popular phrase, "what a difference a day makes."
