What the show did right: They did not focus or devote too much time to what happened in the hotel room. Yes, we want to know what went down in detail and we'll get that in time, but there were probably some new viewers checking the show out for the first time so they wisely got right to the case. It was a good case as well even though I wish it was revolved in the courtroom.
I did not really like Kelli Giddish on SVU this week, but her character with a little bit of attitude, a little bit of sexiness thrown in, definitely proved to be a good counterpart to Kalinda. Too bad with her joining the aforementioned NBC drama she won't be around much.
What the show did wrong: The annoying music during this episode did it no favors. Julianna Margulies came off as a little bit stiff tonight, despite her recent Emmy win, although Alicia in the courtroom is as rock star as ever.
They need to use Eli better as well. Complete waste with his storyline today.
Solid episode as a whole though. Hopefully Sunday does the show right.
