  • Great story

    8.9
I just admire the way they manage to write stories that have continues storyline, striking cases and always the personal touch for the chars. This episode was brilliant example of that. The appeal case is going and there are more and more coming up. Knowing the players, we can never be sure what they are capable and this is just gathering the heat and the chose in the end.. that's worth considering but I am sure he will not go with that.

For weird reason, I adored the storyline with Diana and the gun. Her strong believes and the possible danger she is in. It just yells like storyline what will be revisited sometimes later.

And the case. I loved the controversa around who killed that woman and they representing man who everyone, including Alicia, believed is the murder. The moral dilemma.. the money involved.. Great developments.moreless
  • Alicia must defend a man she believes to be guilty of murder.

    7.5
Tonight The Good Wife tackled the OJ Simpson trials with a man that world believed got off for murder returning to the court room for a civil trial. The "murderer" was played by Dylan Bake, and portrayed very well by the veteran of TV and movies. I also liked the ambiguity at the end, with it being unclear whether or not he actually murdered his wife. Great way to conclude the show letting the viewer ponder the events on their own.

Unlike the title for this episode, it was anything but bad. The Good Wife, now renewed for a second season, continues to go unnoticed by most people but there is a really good legal drama on television Tuesdays at 10.moreless

    • Colin Sweeney: You think I killed my wife?
      Alicia: Of course.
Will: Look, you pay us to represent your interests...
Colin Sweeney: Even though her body was never found?
Alicia: I'm sure you found ways to dispose of it.
Colin Sweeney: Chopped her up and buried her in a landfill somewhere?
      Alicia: Or in lake Michigan.
      Colin Sweeney: And my alibi?
Alicia: That you were driving from St. Louis to Chicago at the time?
Colin Sweeney: So you have no problem representing a murderer?
Alicia: Oh, I have a great problem with it.
Colin Sweeney: But you'll do it anyway?
Alicia: Unless you'd like to exclude me.
Colin Sweeney: Oh, not for the world.

    • Colin Sweeney: Mrs. Florrick. A pleasure to meet you. (they shake hands) Don't worry. I killed her with my other hand. (she withdraws her hand quickly) Joking. Sorry. I've developed a perverse sense of the comic over the last year.

    • Kalinda: When you pick up a gun, you shoot to kill. Or you don't pick up a gun at all.

    • Peter: (after Alicia told him he'll be staying in the spare bedroom) Do you ever want to be together again?
Alicia: Peter... I've been hurt, deeply. I imagine I will heal someday, but for now... we need a plan, okay?
      Peter: Okay.

    • Will: So, are they going to go with electronic monitoring?
Alicia: For Peter? Yes, if he wins the appeal.
      Will: Kids are excited?
      Alicia: Yeah... but nervous.
      Will: And you?
      Alicia: Same.
Will: It's going to be weird, huh?
      Alicia: What do you mean?
Will: I don't know what I mean. (awkward silence) We said we'd have dinner, didn't we?
      Alicia: Yes. We should.
