I read one review saying that this show appeals exclusively to the 50+ crowd. My husband is 36 and really got into this show and now I watch it too and I'm 32. So, I'm curious if people watching this show are really over 50 or that is just some meaningless assumption by one reviewer.

The 26-49 typo is misleading. Maybe edit it to 36-49, so it's clearer for everyone.

I can understand how this show would appeal to those of the older generations but I'm 19 and it's one of my favourite shows on TV at the moment. Maybe it has something to do with my being a law student but I put it down mainly to Alicia being unbelievably cool.

    I'm 23.

Course, I have to wonder: exactly how many 50+ people are on tv.com?

I am a 30 something who loves the show. I would not think that TGW would appeal so much to 50 and older.

Im 19 Love the show, has the best script out of any series I follow, even better than Lost and Gilmore Girls ( My all favorite script and series ever ). Julianne does an amazing job, and the actress who plays Kalinda is super!

I'm 19 and I couldnt agree more with either of you (except the law school part) Its fantastic! The Good wife in less than a season has jumped into my top 5 tv shows! i think the characters make the show esp alicia and juliannas depiction of her!

I'm 33 and I have been hooked on this show from the beginning. I love everything about it. The actors, the storylines, the characters (with the exception of Peter lately) But yeah, love TGW.

Im 18 and love it beyond belief! I love Julianna, especially the way she acts with her eyes! Kalinda is a great character played very well by Archie. Theres not one character that i dont like, they all add postivelyto the show. Oh and love Zac and Grace!

I'm 17 and I LOVE it!! So awesome! I totally missed the first episodes but I love where it's going and I am watching the reruns so I can get caught up. Anyway, my favorite character is Will Gardner and I am soooo nervous about next week's episode because I will die if Alicia doesn't get picked. though it makes no sense if she didn't cause then she'd still be just the good wife and there would be no chance for her and Will.

Indeed, it doesn't seem like the 50+ crowd would be proportionately represented on TV.com.

I don't know, I think it might appeal to, say, the 25-52 age demographic more than the 18-25 one, because the show is about professional and family lives rather than coming-of-age issues. But I also think the young-to-intermediate 25-52 demographic is one in the thick of sorting out career, marriage, and children more than the 50+ group.

I'm almost 50 and love the show -- I started watching mainly because of Julianna Margulies, and she's still my favorite, but I really like all the characters.

Im 17 and I think this show Is brilliant. It is different to all the other lawyer and courtroom shows that are always on tv. In Ireland its on Mondays and I never miss an episode.

i think it had to be without stastisical merit. however, most younger viewers are going to chose something less heady...good for those that are very young and watching...i read that we see so much crap on tv because when something like good wife is put on it does not get the ratings needed to make enough $$$ to compete...but something for tv has to be more than just intellegent;it has to be entertaining as well. the good wife is both and sustains a brood range of interests with the stories it tells. having a crime/political drama with current issues in the script is a challenge. but these writer are choosing the right mix so far...the casting has been very good too i think...
