Even if Peter is not quilty of what he is in prison for.. which can someone tell me what that is? I think it was bribery or something OR he stole tax payers money? Anyways the truth is he cheated ALOT! Just like Tiger Woods. A marriage may be able to surrive one affair or a one nite stand but ongoing cheating is something a person may not be able to get over. I do really like this show. I dont really want them to get back together however...

It's a combination of infidelity and a bunch of corrupt things throughout his tenure. I'm not sure what exactly he's being charged for, but the show has strongly alluded that he is guilty of several things.

I don't think Alicia will take him back. I could see the season finale ending with Alicia walking up to Peter in his jail cell and saying something like, "I won't wait for you," and walking away.

How could she ever trust him again? I don't think a relationship based on that kind of a past would be a healthy one... he's too good a liar!

Are you kidding me? Showing the woman slapping a man/her husband(?)? If the genders were reversed, this show would be canceled in a NY minute after having a bunch of women and feminists up in arms. Actually, a man slapping a woman wouldn't even make it to the airweaves! We as a society are outraged and horrified at the thought of a man even RAISING A HAND to a woman, yet in movies, tv, and other forms of media it's considered COMEDY for a woman to slap a man. They say men "deserve" it for this and that, but that a woman NEVER deserves it, NO MATTER WHAT. The how come men never deserve it too no matter what? SEXIST *****! WOMEN are TEXTBOOK ABUSERS. An abuser makes excuses for their actions and blames it on the victim. Women commonly say (excuse#1) when they slap a man that "he deserved it." Or "he made me angry." Oh so if the women "deserves" it or makes the man angry he can slap her? YOU WOMEN ARE SICK, and ******* DISGUST ME TO DEATH! And it was a REAL slap by the actress on this show tonight. She giggled about it in an interview when asked if it was real. If they showed a man doing that to a female people would be OUTRAGED. Yet a woman doing it, and she giggles about it and it's acceptable? WOMEN ARE THE MOST ABUSIVE CREATURES EVER! VINDICTIVE, ABUSIVE, EVIL! AS IS THE MEDIA! THIS COUNTRY IS TURNING TO CRAP SHOWING WOMAN ABUSERS LIKE THIS. Women want equality, yet slap men and find it acceptable. Sickest thing in the world. I hate westernized media. EDIT: If a MALE actor giggled about SLAPPING his female coworker and saying "it was really hard" he would be labeled another Chris Brown. SICK. Because of the media, women have become desensitized to women-on-men domestic violence and deem it acceptable for reasons that would NOT be acceptable the other way around (e.g. cheating, touching inappropriately, getting mad (the abuser) at the victim). AMERICANS ARE BRAINWAHED BY THE MEDIA AND THIS COUNTRY IS GOING TO HELL. Promoting DV against men and turning young females into future abusers. SICK.

    I'm not American, I'm Australian.

    He deserved that SLAP...................!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amanda Peet is going to put a spanner in the works when she inevitably falls for him... if the show lasts long enough.

Next episode may well tell the tale, since he's asking her for them to renew their vows. Time (and the writers) will tell the tale.
