"Getting Off" focused on one thing: Alicia snaps. She was, yeah, pretty mean here tonight to Jackie, to Kalinda, to everyone. The character that was relatable to not just women, but anyone who was wronged in life, lost a little bit of empathy from viewers with her actions here tonight. I am not rooting for her at all anymore.

Sarah Silverman guest starred in a role that her suited her well, although her edgy comedy with words such as "orgasm" and masturbation stood out during the show, a little bit more than they should have. Still, that was probably one of the most interesting cases in awhile on this show.

Just okay by The Good Wife standards.moreless
  • Finnaly Alica shows some emotions. She is really angry at Kalinda for being her friend and never been truthful to her. She also has to deal with Jackie interfering.

I think this is one of the best episodes so far. Alica shows she is hurting. She has spend two years trying to forgive Peter while working full time and making a good friend in Kalinda. Alica is almost as upset by Kalinda as she is of Peter. She has delt with Peters deception and Kalinda was the last straw. It seems like Alica is relived she can move on without Peter. Jackie talking to the kids and badmouthing Alica to them was just like Jackie. I think Alica was well in her rights to tell Jackie off. But I have to say it would be easier if Alica just told Jackie the whole truth. I did miss Eli in this episode. I know, the campaign is over but he is such a great character.moreless
  • It's about to get ugly....

    7.5
This episode really did a good job of showing the devastation a separation can cause, not just to the couple and their children, but to all their relationships. The truce between Alicia and her mother-in-law is over, for one thing. I know a lot of people were rooting for Alicia when she told Jackie off, but I was just remembering the touching scene they had when Jackie was in the hospital after she collapsed and Alicia was asking her why she found it so hard to take a compliment. It took a long time for them to get to that point, but now all that progress has obviously been undone. It was refreshing to see Peter finally showing his teeth, after episodes of playing the perfectly sincere and perfectly contrite ex-cheater. After all, any man who cheated on his wife that many times - not to mention all the corruption he was involved in - has to have a dark side. At least now he's showing he's human. Makes him easier to hate.

I was really sad to see the friendship between Kalinda and Alicia breakdown. Certainly I understand Alicia's hurt and her reaction to the news, but I found that my sympathies lay mostly with Kalinda. She was really opening up to Alicia as she had never done with anyone, and now it seems that her guard is up once more. It will be really interesting to see where she goes from here.

Will Alicia and Will finally sleep together? I can't see Will taking up with Alicia, despite the long-standing attraction between them; she has so much baggage (two teenage kids, a high profile husband - soon to be ex?). But then, I keep reminding myself: these aren't real people. If the writer's want them to get together, they'll make it happen.moreless

    • Will: Is this about Alicia?
      Kalinda: Is what about Alicia?
      Will: You leaving.
      Kalinda: I'm not leaving.
Will: At some point, Kalinda, you're going to have to confide in someone.
Kalinda: No, I don't. You know what I discovered? I never have to confide in anyone.

    • Kalinda: What do you want from life, Will?
Will: What do I want? I don't know. Suddenly, this is about me?
Kalinda: You want the same things as Alicia?
      Will: Alicia? I... I don't know. There's a vast difference between us.
      Kalinda: Because she's married?
Will: Yeah, for one. And she has kids, and I... What are we talking about here?
Kalinda: She separated from her husband.
      Will: What?
Kalinda: Alicia-- she separated from Peter.

    • Alicia: We both work here. We're both going to continue to work here. So let's not talk.
      Kalinda: Alicia...
Alicia: No. You don't explain anything. You do not put a single thing in context. You slept with my husband. You do not say anything after that. You do not. It is selfish... to say anything after that. I work here and you work here, but that's it. When you can find another case, do it. When you can walk the other way, do. Now get out of my office. (Kalinda doesn't move) Kalinda, there are so many people who can see us right now, but I swear I will scream at the top of my lungs if you don't get out of my office now.

    • Cary: I'm staying put.
      Kalinda: Where?
      Cary: Here.
Kalinda: Oh, Peter Florrick wants you?
Cary: Yes, isn't that odd? I would've thought my competition whith his wife would've made me persona non grata.
Kalinda: Yeah, I would've thought so, too.
Cary: He doesn't seem to care that Alicia and I aren't on the best of terms. Read into that what you will.
