The firm puts Alicia in charge of getting clients to sign with the firm for a class action lawsuit that could mean a big win for the firm and its future. Along the way she stumbles upon Louis Canning, who once again surprises by this time not being on the side of the big money making firm. He claims to have the interest of the people at heart, but we learn at the end, that this may not be case in all its sincerity. They end up getting "married" in court as the judge decides to put both lawsuits into one and so they must join forces. Alicia still not being convinced by Canning learns of his intentions after Kalinda successfully spots him at the enemy gates.He makes a mistake by showing a confident estimate of the deal and Alicia makes the race by putting this to the judges attention.
Meanwhile there is still the issue of the firm being overtaken by Bond and so Will and Diane keep on with the plans and the coup they brought to life after learning of the misleading attentions of Bond.
Also Peter makes a new commitment by trying to get the youth vote and puts himself out there as he advocates the use of medical marihuana.
At the very end we see how Peter found himself after a long separation in their bedroom, as was indicated in the last episode, when Alicia left her door open for Peter's entrance.
