Alicia's client gets thrown out of criminal court and things become an international matter. Alicia brushes up on English law with the help of Will and team since the case gets transferred to a court in England. They handle this case via satellite. Lockhart Gardner's client, Danny, is being sued by a British businessman, Mr. Cartiff. Mr. Cartiff claims that what's written in Danny's books are false. Danny's brother is a climber, and Danny acuses Mr. Cartiff of taking away his brother, Robert's, oxygen tank away, letting him die. Alicia and team win this case against Mr. Cartiff and the suit is dismissed.
Diane and Kalinda are busy dealing with their business venture. Diane meets with Cary and Peter to try to convince them that if they hired her firm as the state's attorney's private council, this will bring in a large profit for Lockhart and Gardner. Peter requests that they are audited, making sure their client is on top of their business.
Diane starts to winder whether Peter is with them or not. Diane is unable to get any answers form Alicia or Will. She makes it clear that she does not want to be an enemy of the state's attorney and if she finds out that Alicia is working for them again, they will let her go. Will agrees. Meanshile, Eli has been doing some crisis management work at Lockhart and Gardner and enlists Kalinda's services. She helps him acquire a client. Eli can't put his finger on why Kalinda looks so familiar to him.
