In one word: brilliant. This episode was an intimate play with the most brilliant writing and acting I've seen in a long time. Suppressed emotions, open jealousy on all sides, nice dresses and funny theatre. Peter trying to repress his jealousy of Will and his doubts about Alicia's love for him while dealing with the third candidate for DA elections and an approach from a very valuable supporter. Eli Gold trying to save his campaign. Alicia, Will, Diane and the new guy trying to decide what to do in such a difficult situation. Cary still trying to hurt his old law firm. Will's new girl trying to get Will all to herself. The Nobel prize winner's lawyer (Great job, Frederick Weller!) trying to save his client. There was a lot of trying going on and in the end, the masseuse just walked out of it all, because she realized she couldn't do, what Alicia had done. Kind of anti-climactic, but brilliant, because a lot of people revealed their weak points. It was a great setup for the big showdown, I can feel it coming. It was sad, it was exciting, there was a fight and kissing, it was all in just a bit over forty minutes. I loved it from the beginning to the end. Watch it!!!moreless
  • Superb complex episode, still leave us unsatisfied and wanting to know more.

    9.5
First off, Alicia has made it obvious to quite a few people Derek being one of them, of her interest over Will, and her attitude towards her husband (ie to just go out and in the room without actually going to him, really shows how much she does NOT care.)

It now seems clearer that Derek and Blake have issues. It was also fun to see how Diane did not trust her TWO partners, she did not let them go back alone to the office. AND she wants Blake to report to her on what he finds. On this however, we see Blake pocketing cash from his search of their potential client apartment - pretty distastefull, not something that Kalinda would do. WILL however is focus on trying to get going with his date. It is also clear that he thinks Alicia is not present and he still try to get his relationship going with his date, so it is not to try to get to Alicia.

So despite not getting what I wanted to see on Alicia love interest, it was a great show. I just would like Alicia to make a move for WILL, and for him to realize that not all doors are shut there. Men can be sometimes so blind. Derek however was suprising as he came back for Alicia.moreless

When I first heard of the Good Wife, I didn't know what it was about besides a man cheating on his wife. Well safe to say that I'm glad I tuned in cause week after week the Good Wife always delivers an excellent episode. This one in particular is my all time favorite. There are just no words to describe how good this episode was besides spectacular. The Good Wife has never dissapointed me, and I really hope the writers keep going the way they are. This is one of the best written drama shows on TV right now, if you are not watching this show, you need to be.moreless

Tonight's episode continued on with that bizarre gala episode from the last week and it was jusmt as disappointing as the one from 7 days ago.

The Good Wife is always going to be worth watching because of the great cast and the strong writing, but sometimes they simply try too much. The plot for tonight's episode was much more straight-forward than it seemed what with the style of directing and all the attempts at twists and turns.

The second season has not been stellar so far, but I am not ready to write off TV's best broadcast drama because of a few cash for clunkers like this one.moreless
