Do you think this will last as long as "King of the Hill" has?

I think that the premise of this show starts out far too thin to survive half as long as KOTH has. Will the concept of a "green," vegan, P.C. family with an adopted kid from Africa even be a relevant premise thirteen years from now? Even less likely, will there be thirteen seasons worth of material to draw from in said premise? I can't help but answer "no" to both questions.

I think a better question would be, "will all thirteen of the episodes that ABC has already ordered even air?"

Of course, we haven't seen the show at all yet, so hopefully I am wrong. I've really enjoyed everything that Mike Judge has done to date. This one seems destined to disappoint, though . . . a lot like "American Dad." I smelled that turd coming months before it aired.

There's potential in this show. But the first ep had wayy to much going on at once. The writing is strong, but it seemed to be trying to hard to impress on their first episode. If they can just focus on one or two plots per show and squeeze it dry for humor with more controlled pacing, I think it could turn into a real hit.

But it's on abc... this is worrying...

I think the show is alright, but I think the most it will last is 2-5 years, unless the network idiots decide to cancel it early.

yeah the pilot sucked compared to the last 2 eps. and the pilot only got 4 million views so if they dont do better it will end up not being renewed. since the show is only suposed to have what 13 eps does that meant theres only 5 more double eps left?

This show is going to get cancelled but ABC will probably air all the episodes that they have ordered. It's not that great but still watchable if that makes sense.

I think the show was destined for failure with ABC. I hate to say it, but it should have been on Fox. I wish that the Goode Family would have got KOTH's old time slot after Simpsons, and that the Cleveland Show never even existed, bah, garbage. I like the Goode Family, and I'm sure it would have got better with time. I have faith in Mike Judge, and KOTH's first season wasn't that good. It just needed more of a chance.
