  • After reading an article that there is no one to perform in the winter olympics, the Goodies travel to the north pole, but find it too cold so they melt the ice capsmoreless

As I've said before, global warming was exactly affecting the planet as much in the seventies as it is today but the Goodies always was ahead of its time when looking for things to poke fun of and planetary prolems are definitely at the top of the list for jokes.

As for sporting jokes, the Goodies already proved they could do sports in season 2's "The commonwealth games" but here they go just one step furthur in the inevitable path of making us piss ourselves with laughter. Sure you have the occasional joke about sex, but this was seventies TV, as with gender education Tv censors were more cracking down on violence than they were about sex jokes.

Anyway this episode is our first true classic of season 3 and deserves a place on the next BBCDVD, and again the same can be said about the next episode!moreless
