After viewing (twice) the story of the Massacre at Wounded Knee, I listened to host Gerald Gough at the conclusion of the episode expound not about the tragedy of wounded knee, but how Chief Sitting Bull, proud that he had learned white man's ways, really failed to adapt to new circumstances, and warned about the "Sitting Bulls" of today (meaning 1963) who fail to adapt to a changed world. Anyway, that is my recollection of Gough's closing remarks.

I swear I saw actor Claude Akins play a Catholic priest ministering to the Indians of wounded knee, but no mention of that role appears in the Wikipedia article about Akins.moreless
