In the final leg of the race, teams arrive at Chesapeake Bay in Maryland where they have to haul and cook crab. Then the final two teams battle it out in front of the Capitol building in Washington, D.C.
Mayor Rahm Emanuel acts as judge of a Chicago-style pizza themed challenged that the remaining teams compete in. The following day teams are challenged to sell 300 polish sausages and then race to a restaurant location for their reward/punishment.
When the teams arrive at the Twin Cities, they must complete a Truck Stop challenge at both the Minneapolis state fair and a Spam cooking challenge in St. Paul.
Rapid City, South Dakota hosts the five remaining teams as they compete without their follow vehicle. On the following day teams must use a wild key ingredient and then race to a vista for an additional reward.
While in Idaho, teams face a Speed Bump challenge where they must remove all starches from their dishes. On the following day, teams must rustle up their own potatoes to be used as a main ingredient.
While in Portland, Oregon, teams must deal with a speed bump preventing them from restocking their supplies and then must deal with using geoduck as a main ingredient.
The food truck teams compete in signature dish challenges in Beverly Hills and San Francisco.
