C'mon, he's the clear choice for the film role. Blond, goofy, heroic. This needs to happen. I don't even think they should curl his hair. Put on the red jammies, Owen! and hell, bring back Robert Culp as bill maxwell -- i bet he could still bring it!

(ha! i just realized that owen wilson played robert culp's role in the I Spy movie. kismat??)

As much as I like Owen Wilson, I don't think he's quite right for the role. You said it yourself, HEROIC. Part of the fun about the show was how unheroic Ralph Hinkley looked - an everyman who appeared to be way out of his element, do you know what I mean? I think Jason Biggs ("American Pie") would be great. Culp returning as Maxwell? Too old now, don't you think? It would be nice to see him and William Katt in a cameo role of some kind, but as the leads? No. Gary Sinise ("Forrest Gump") - would be my choice for Bill. Agree? / Disagree? :-)

Great choice for Ralph - I totally didn't think about him.  But, he's supposed to be in Spider-Man 3 (I have no idea how big his role will be) will he want to be involved in another superhero movie?

You know... if they ever did a re-visit to this show... I would like to see Ralph & Maxwell in the ship with the aliens passing things along to another generation.

They really already set this up in an episode of the show where they showed Ralph's predecessor who had a suit before him, but misused it and it was taken away.

C'mon folks, the obvious choice for the role of Ralph Hinkley would be Will Ferrell.

Will Ferrell would be funny, but I think Owen Wilson really does fit the role. He's a big goofball. I don't look at him and think "heroic" at all. I think he would fit very well in the role, personally.

While Owen Wilson is a fine actor I suppose, that nose of his is just too darn distracting for me. Topher Grace would have my vote as Ralph Hinkley - whoever plays the role would have to be convincingly "not a hero, almost anal sticker for doing "whats right" in keeping with the standard already set by William Katt.

Thats my opinion - of course they may just stick an unknown in the suit, which is risky.

Will Ferrel and Owen Wilson are both great actors and I love them both but I just can't see either of them being able to pull off Ralph Hinkley the way William Katt did. I absolutely love this show and it would be awsome if they made a movieoutta it but i just don't think anyone could replaceWilliam Katt and Robert Culp. I think if they do make a movie they need to find some good unknowns!!!! Or smaller actors i don't think a big star would do the roles right.

How about SG-1's Michael Shanks? I think he'd play the part well.

A movie is a terrible idea, the story itself is made for television. A reboot of sorts can work if they stuck to the original concept that Stephen Cannell originally had. With all the superhero stuff coming to theaters and TV, a reboot may succeed or it may get lost in the TV shuffle, but a TV show is a better way to go than a film(unless you are talking about a TV movie).
