The video game that is featured in this episode is actually 3 different games. The exterior is the arcade game "Tempest", the controls are from the arcade game "Scramble" and the actual shots of the game screen are from the Intellivision home console game "Advanced Dungeons & Dragons"
On the DVD release the song Pinball Wizard has been replaced with an instrumental piece.
Joey Scarbury performs a cover version of "Pinball Wizard" in the scene where Ralph is trying his hand at the video game and doing quite well.
Dungeons & Dragons
The game "Wizards & Warlocks" seems to be vaguely based on the game "Dungeons & Dragons". While Wizards & Warlocks shares the same basic theme as "Dungeons & Dragons", the writers have altered the game play to make it a game in which the players act out their moves in the real world.
