The Green Hornet uses Mike Axford in a plan to get mobsters Phil Trager & Steve Gant to take each other out.''''But when Axford shows up when he isn't expected to, the plan may fail and cost him, the Green Hornet, and Kato their lives.
Nitpick: Both Kato and the Green Hornet walk into a Hornet Gas filled elevator car to drag out Gant and his boy without gas masks. Maybe they're immune to it from years of exposure?
Edit
The original air date for this episode is disputed. The same sources which claim that no new show was seen on December 30, 1966 and "The Hornet and the Firefly" was not seen until March 24, 1967, also list this episode and the following episode, "Bad Bet on a 459-Silent," in reverse of this ordering.
Edit
The closed circuit TV controls located behind the bust is reminiscent of the Batpole controls being located the the bust in the Batman series.
Edit
When the TV is turned on while Gant and Trager are at Britt Reid's house, the screen displays an image of Batman & Robin walking up the side of a building. The Batman TV series of the 60s was produced by the same company as The Green Hornet and aired on the same network (ABC).
