Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • When the Green Hornet and Kato go into Willman's workroom and the Green Hornet opens the trunk, a reaction shot of Kato is from several seconds early. The background is from the wax museum, not from the workroom.

    • Green Hornet starts examining the Scarf figure with his uncovered right hand, but when the camera goes in close for his discovery of the bloody portion of the scarf, he is using the gloved left hand.

    • Green Hornet & Kato leap to attack Rancourt from the spot where their wax figures are positioned. But when Rancourt went into and came back out of the figure workshop, you could clearly see that the figures had been posed there until the leap.

  • QUOTES (2)

    • Hazel: I guess I'll go now.
Rancourt: No, stay! You remembered. That's what important. For a part of immortality is that one is remembered. don't you see that, my dear?
      Hazel: I don't know.
Rancourt: Attila the Hun is immortal. Jack the Ripper, Bluebeard, Captain Kidd! The great intellects wrestle with the problem of what impelled them to their greatness. And now, Vina, The Scarf joins that exalted company!
      Hazel: You're The Scarf!
Rancourt: No, that is The Scarf. I am the vessel of his immortality. The Boswell to his Johnson.

    • Kato: There are many legendary figures of evil in the Orient. Some say they are driven back into action by their own malevolence.

  • NOTES (1)

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • The Scarf bears a striking resemblance to the Shadow, the pulp hero developed by Walt Gibson ca. 1931. Developed into a mystery man, The Shadow was a contemporary of the Green Hornet, both of whom starred in radio serials.
