The arrival of visitors from outer space seemingly coincides with an Air Force convoy transporting top secret electronic equipment and an H-Bomb missile warhead. Having Britt's secretary Casey taken hostage makes the situation very touchy.
Casey: Why are you masquerading as space people?
Mabouse: There was a time in my life when I sought the answers to questions that men never even dream of. But then I made the eternally fatal mistake of being ahead of my time. After a long search, I found the answer. Power, Miss Case. Power is what I found. Soon now I shall become a god. The power of life and death in the palm of my hand.

Mabouse: A fool and his bomb are soon parted.

Mabouse: I've always been a man of simple tastes, Miss Case. I just like the best: wine, women, and power.

The name of the villain, Dr. Eric Mabouse, is derived from the German cinema's arch-crtiminal Dr. Mabuse, created in a two-part silent movie by filmmaker Fritz Lang, who remade it in the early thirties. He revived the character in 1960, launching a new series of pictures quite popular at the time of this production.
