The Hank Stohl Show

Show Summary

The Hank Stohl Show was a morning show that aired on a local Philadelphia channel in the early 1960s. The show combined puppet skits, that acted out clean, but adult jokes with current event reporting and more traditional comedy offerings. Hank Stohl hosted the show and covered a wide variety of topics including local politics, traffic, current events and more. The comedy hour aired daily for roughly two years, and was locally praised as "the funniest to appear on local television." Hank Stohl often welcomed guest hosts to the screen, which included fellow puppeteer, comedians and ventriloquists.
