    ** SPOILER ALERT **

Plot - Dorno must enter the Endless Caves of Murak and the Spider People to retrive an antidote for Zandor, who was bitten by a giant spider. Murak uses this opportunity to capture Dorno to use as a hostage to control the Herculoids.

Herculoids in trouble - Zandor & Dorno

Zandor has apparently received a potentially fatal bite from a giant spider. Dorno retrieves an antidote from the Spider People, which revives him.

Soon after Dorno enters the Endless Caves alone, the entrance gate closes behind him, and armed guards escort the boy to Murak. After Dorno reveals his purpose, Murak releases a trap door, which drops the boy into an underground cavern. Igoo smashes the roof of the underground cavern and rescues Dorno.

    Special artistic mention - none

    Dishonorable plot mention - none

This was one of the few episodes in which the plot was not driven by the villains. Although the Spider People were effective villains, they seem to have totally overlooked the advantages of having Dorno as a hostage. The need to save Zandor from the giant spider's venom added tension to the action.

    Grade - B+moreless
