    Heidi seems a little upset at Lauren and their blow-up, but she still refuses to admit that she had any part of what went wrong. Audrina hooks up with an old flame and Laruen worries that he is going to treat her bad again. When Audrina ditches Lauren for Justin Bobby, Lauren has some flashes to Heidi and Spencer. Spencer tells Brody that he is thinking of popping the question and asks Brody to be his best man and Brody tells him to calm down about it, to wait. Because he is obsessed with money, he does buy her a great ring.moreless

  • Audrina hangs out with her ex-boyfriend who still has yet to decide on a name, either Justin or Bobby. Lauren is without a guy. Heidi recieves one of the worst engagment proposals ever.moreless

    Heidi and Spencer are engaged. Spencer's proposal was the worst, with his laughing and being like 'So yeah, everytime I wake up in the morning, I'm like I can't believe I'm like with you" and then he throws the ring at her and she has to put it on her finger herself. The painting he surprised Heidi with is horrible, ugly, and awful graffiti that makes visitors think their in the ghetto, not a fancy and expensive apartment. Then, Lauren acts kind of pissy that Audrina might have a boyfriend now while she doesn't. Audrina ditching Lauren for Justin is a classic girl move and one that I thought would have caused a dramatic scene but maybe that will be in next week's episode. And we learn that Lauren likes her tomatoes with out the middle which is very pivotal information but not really. Audrina still acts as if she's not all there and just drinks a lot of red bull so she doesn't have to speak alot.moreless

  • Lauren goes home to Laguna and Heidi gets engaged to Spencer!

    I found this episode to be very sad in the aftermath of the breakup of Lauren and Heidi's friendship. When Heidi tries to talk to Spencer about painting, he seems to ignore her ideas and childishly gets the wall and counter painted in a motif akin to airbrushing. I thought this was one of the few humorous moments of this episode when Heidi says, "What the white paint is coming tomorrow?" in response to Spencer saying he has a surprise. The fact that Lauren compares losing Heidi to Spencer to her friend dying was very moving and I really believed that she was sincere. Even though I'm not a Spencer/Heidi fan at all and don't understand their relationship, I still liked the engagement scene because Heidi seems to genuinely love him and often love is quite unexplainable. I also thought the scene between Spencer and Brody was revealing that maybe Spencer is becoming slightly more mature just because Brody is talking about him needing to just be wild until he's 30. The part of this episode where Lauren talks to her mother was refreshing because it finally showed the parents in a role that has been absent throughout The Hills/Laguna Beach. I am also glad that Lo has returned to Lauren's life by moving to Hollywood because they are hilarious together and she is a more engaging person than Audrina on camera.moreless
