- Although Nicholas Campbell was the original Hitchhiker in the 1983 episodes, in syndication his scenes have been completely editted out and replaced with Page Fletcher. That often creates inconsistencies in the episodes, because it is obvious that scenes with Fletcher were shot at a different time than scenes with his co-stars.
