    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (1)

      • Carney accidentally bumps into a table, causing a cookie to fall on the floor. This inspires the ad-lib "Leave it there, the cat'll get it."

    • QUOTES (3)

      • Ralph: It just so happens that the Raccoon Lodge is going through a financial crisis. And I'm the treasurer, Alice. I'm responsible. If I don't get some money into that treasury, you know what might happen? The Bensonhurst Chapter of the Raccoon Lodge may no longer be. Do you know what that means?

Alice: Yeah. Real estate values in Bensonhurst will go up a hundred percent!

      • Mrs. Weedemeyer("Isn't he a treasUre?"), Alice,"(Yes, and if he keeps it up,he'll be a Buried treasUre")

      • Alice: "I call you killer, because you slay me"

Ralph: "And I'm calling Bellevue because you're nuts!"

    • NOTES (1)

      • Bert Weedemeyer is played by Frank Behrens who was a well-known radio actor in radio soaps. He is also noted for being the very first Jack Armstrong, 1938-1939.
Rita Weedemeyer is played by Freda Rosen, who was the wife of the late award comedy writer Arnie Rosen who worked on the Gleason show in the 1950s. She is still alive I believe.
I remember her. She was hired from about 20 girl applicants for this part without anyone on the Gleason show knowing she was Arnie's wife. (except Arnie of course).
