Do you think that Honymooners are exactly the same as the Flinstones. They have that exact same voices and they act the same.

Yes, your are right about that. I love both shows and now I know why. It is very similar. Both hard working and both have dumb best friends. Both have wives that are loving and best friends. The only difference is pebbles and Bam Bam. No children for the Honeymooners. One episode they adopted a child. Very sad. Not my favorite one because I cry when I see it. I really miss this sitcom. Would love to see it back on week nights channel 11 at 11:30pm.

I know I read somewhere that The Flintstones were based on The Honeymooners, hence, all those similarities!

I heard recently that Mel Blanc based Barney Rubble on Norton. I've also heard in the past that the Flintstones was based on 'the Honeymooners'.. if something like that happened today it wouldn't be looked over but the first creators would sue the second creators for residuals or try to have the show pulled.

Yes, the Flintstones was based on The Honeymooners. However, the character of Barney Rubble is not nearly as much a copy of Ed Norton as Fred is a copy of Ralph. That's because Hanna-Barbera had already done an animated version of Ed Norton......Yogi Bear.

Yes, I think so, but Fred didn't play up the king of the castle thing like Ralph did.

Sure seems to be. It's often said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
