    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    • TRIVIA (1)

      • 2 consecutive flubs happen near the end of this episode.

First, as Andre is being thrown out of the apartment by a steamed Ralph, you can clearly hear Andre say: "I'm through, Mrs. Kranston!!" Kranston? Should've been Kramden obviously.

And meanwhile, as Andre is leaving, you can see Ralph's hand coming through the "glass" of the window, still holding the glove as well. And what makes this even funnier is that just moments earlier, Jackie made a valiant attempt to feign glass being present by placing his hands flat against the panes, as if there really was glass in the window. Alas, it all goes out the window, so to speak, moments later.

    • QUOTES (3)

      • Alice: (for Ralph's birthday party) Now, I got my shopping list all made out for tomorrow morning. I'm going to serve sandwiches, ice cream, coffee, punch, potato chips, peanuts, chocolate cake with "Happy Birthday to Ralph" on it --- on second thought, I'd better make that coconut cake.
Trixie: Why? Ralph's crazy about chocolate cake.
Alice: That's just it. I bought him a new belt for his birthday, and I want to make sure it fits the day after.
Trixie: Well, you could always exchange it for a larger size.
Alice: There is no larger size.

      • Ed: Poor little pizza, ain't good for nothin'.

      • Ralph:"Whoa! What a surprise."

    • NOTES (1)

      • The decorator wants to paint the walls of the apartment a cool green which is the color of the apartment in the color episodes. This guy was way ahead of his time.
