Did'nt Norton refer to Pierre Francois da la Brioche as a "relative"? And also call him "COUNT" da la Brioche"! And didn't he pronounce the guys name as: DEL-A-BEE-OCY"? Or am I wrong? With Norton's/ Carney New York dialect/accent I just can't tell for certain? Thanks.

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • This episode was featured by name in Michael J. Fox's movie, Back to the Future. In the movie, Marty McFly went back to October 1955 and saw this episode on the Baines' brand new television. But the "Man From Space" episode did not air until two months later.

    • A piece of Ralph's costume falls onto the floor. Meadows ad-libs "You're losing it already." Gleason ad-libs in response "Don't touch that- that's my de-naturizer."

  • QUOTES (1)

    • [Ralph puts Norton on notice that their friendship is "suspended" for the duration of the costume competition..]
Ralph: When you see me walking down the street...GET OVER TO THE OTHER SIDE!
Norton: When you come walking down the street...there AIN'T no "other side"!

  • NOTES (2)

    • Though Ralph means to be a man from space, the lodge thinks he is dressed as a pinball machine.

    • This episode was featured in the movie "Back to the Future." However, in the movie, it was said to have aired on Nov. 5. This is not correct, as "The Sleepwalker" aired on that day.
