Listen carefully to Mr.Douglas when he is apologizing for Mr.Harper. He totally blows his line but continues on without missing a beat.
The entire fourth season is known as the "Classic 39", in which all 39 episodes ran for 30 minutes with one story line, instead of short skits. Jackie Gleason went back to skits the following season.
When Alice is standing outside the bedroom talking to Ralph while he gets ready, the shadow of a boom mic can be seen going across the front of Ralph's frozen longjohns.
Watch as Alice takes a call from Trixie upstairs & when she is taking the phone she reaches her hand through where the window panes would be.
Watch for one a Audrey Meadows more frustrating moments when whe gets off track with her dialoge during the rehearsal:
"You've got me so upset from yelling at me Ralph!"
Watch for Jackie's improvising with the ladder at the end of the epsidoe.
Watch through the entire episode as Jackie forgets which side his toothache is on.
Watch for when Jackie get a little aggrivated over a boxtop he's trying to tear off as he exclaims about it being welded on.
Blooper: After the super intendment finds out that Ralph is moving in the middle of the night she says "I will call the landlord first thing in the morning and his lawyer and we'll go down to the cab company and cut your salary." Ralph doesn't work for a cab company, he works for a bus depot.
After Alice has trouble with a can opener:
Alice: "This is murder, this thing."
Ralph: "Your beautiful with a can opener!"
Watch for when Ralph comes out of a "locked" door that George Petrie's character has just locked.
Watch for the wall set split behind the kitchen sink. You can see stage hands trying to repair it.
When Ralph has left Phil and Alice alone in the apartment, Phil (George Petrie) walks over to Alice and says, "Don't you think Phil is acting a little strange"?
He meant to say:
"Don't you think Ralph is acting a little strange"?
This was Ralph and Ed's very first harebrained business venture.
Notice that Ralph's best-friend Norton is not yet a brother Raccoon.
Keep an eye on Ralph's coffee cup. In order to make steam, baking soda and vinegar were used with dry ice, causing the cup to eventually bubble over.
Watch for when Ralph is talking to Norton about his lucky jacket. Jackie's's fly is wide open while he sits on the chair, he then gets up, he walks around and says:
"You know something pal, there comes a time in every guys life when he could use a lucky jacket like that."
When Ralph burns his foot and is hopping around the room, Trixie is standing there cracking up at his antics. Joyce Randolph evidently forgot that this was not a dress rehearsal. Ralph directs an angry ad lib at her, so she instantly realizes that she is out of character and leaves, after which Ralph and Alice save the scene ad libbing.
When Alice is entering the bedroom she utters "I wish you'd fix this door." talking about the locked door she cannot enter.
Watch for the shadow go across the wall outside the Kramden's front door when an officer is speaking to Ralph.
