  • Freddie Lyon interviews Kish's widow, and finds himself being followed. He also learns about Hector and Bel, and has an unexpected erotic adventure.

    6.0
Probability isn't the strong suit of this series, which has also shown quite astonishingly small regard for historical accuracy; still, it's pretty remarkable when, a few minutes after meeting Freddie Lyon for the first time, Kish's widow quite casually informs him that her newly-dead husband worked for MI6. With paranoia all but overwhelming him, Freddie still manages to have a good time at his birthday party and a very good time indeed straight after it, when he finds himself in bed with Lix. One does rather wonder how much loopier this series is going to get, although we are now past worrying about whether or not writer Abi Morgan is going to surprise us with something good. We are even given that old thriller standby, the scene where our hero voices his suspicions to a trusted associate and the latter asks, "Have you told anyone else about this?" At least Dominic West and Anna Chancellor give good accounts of themselves; but Ben Whishaw is very tiresome.moreless
