Evie is tormented by the death of Sebastian and immerses herself in work in order to forget. When the sisters have a heart to heart they consider some ambitious plans for The House of Eliott. Tilly’s needlework begins to suffer as a result of ill health but she is loathed to reveal her problems. Madge becomes frustrated and considers employment elsewhere. Penny is assaulted but continues her exhaustive work at the mission. Evie celebrates her 21st birthday. When Penny's health begins to suffer, she discovers the source of Tilly’s problems and attempts to act as matchmaker for Jack and Bea. Jack is determined to become involved in the film industry. The first House of Eliott board meeting identifies some key artistic differences when they contemplate the possibility of showing their first collection.moreless
