Trivia

FILTER BY TYPE

  • Trivia

    • The Leader returns, together with the Gargoyle, and the Abomination makes a small appearance.

    • After his banishment by The Leader we can see Gargoyle working together with The Abomination. Which is funny, because we haven't seen The Abomination since Return Of The Beast, Part One&Two.

    • Gargoyle gets banned by The Leader in this episode.

    • When Jennifer is talking to the Hulk, she mentions Betty. He remembers her as a friend, which proves that every time Banner changes into the Hulk, the Hulk himself seems to forget a lot of things. He thought Betty was not her friend anymore in Innocent Blood.

    • Bruce is wearing Jennifer's pink sweater with flowers on front.

    • Running away and living life as a fugitive has turned Bruce Banner into quite a acrobatic person as we can see in the intro of this episode.

  • Quotes

    • (She-Hulk awakes)
She-Hulk: Oh... so much for the feeling no pain benefit.

    • (Dr. Doom shoots the She-Hulk down)
      Dr. Doom: End of conversation!

    • (While changing into the She-Hulk)
Jennifer: Oh, I feel good! Feels like somebody is lighting my fire!

    • Banner: Jen, I am so...
      Dr. Doom:..sorry? How touching.

    • Newsreader: And here's the official word live from the president of the United States. Dr. Doom can shove it... ehm... what? Rather, Doom's demands are officially rejected.

    • Hulk: Hulk smash!
Dr. Doom: Oh yes yes, I forgot. Very left brain personality. Well, let me put this in little bitty words for you. Hulk want Jennifer? Then Hulk obeys Dr. Doom! Or as you might so charmingly say, Hulk no smash!

    • hulk: Jennifer... Hulk family...? Hulk not alone..?
Jennifer: No, of course not. I'm here, Hulk. I always will be.

    • Hulk: Hulk no time! Hulk move! Hulk hate puny toys!

    • Droid: Subject terminated!
Dr. Doom: Should that be true, I would have to destroy you.
      (Hulk lifts up car)
      Hulk: Hulk smash!
Dr. Doom: However, it appears that your warranties are about to expire anyway.
(Hulk throws the car at the droids, thus destroying them)

    • (After Bruce turns into the Hulk while driving Jen's car)
Jennifer: Tell me you're just getting carsick!

    • Banner: But now it's...
Jennifer: No buts, or I'll kick yours! Now what happened?

    • Jennifer: You know if it's illegal Magilla, I could represent in court as your lawyer!

    • Banner: Hi Jen, long time...no see....
      (Banner falls down, fainting)

    • Jennifer: This is great. First graffiti and muggings, and now the Hulk. Heh, like DC hasn't got enough bashing into politicians...

    • Banner: You shouldn't have done that, because now you've made me angry!

    • Doom: (About She-Hulk) Another loud green one? And with attitude yet. I abhor attitude!

    • Bruce: Oh, that wasn't angry. Seeing me angry isn't something you'd be likely to forget.

    • Jennifer: Bruce? Bruce Banner? Or do you prefer 'Mr. Hulk'?
      Hulk: Hulk not puny Banner.

  • Notes

    • Although Glenn Talbot appears in this episode, he has no lines at all.

    • Rick and Betty both don't appear in the episode.

    • At the beginning of the episode Bruce says things about his cousin. Clearly she means a lot to him because he even mentions she is his soulmate.

    • In the comics (She-Hulk (first series) #1), Jennifer Walters was injured by criminal angry about her legal work, rather than by Dr. Doom's robots. Otherwise, her origin was the same - her cousin Bruce had come to see her, she was injured, and out of desperation, he gave her a transfusion of his own gamma-enriched blood.

    • Simon Templeman resumes the role of Doctor Doom after his stint as the character in the second season of the Marvel Action Hour's "Fantastic Four" animated series.

  • Allusions

    • At the end Bruce is being seen hitchhiking at the side of the road. This clearly resembles the 1978 TV show of The Incredible Hulk starring Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno.

    • Jennifer: You know if it's illegal Magilla, I could represent in court as your lawyer!

Magilla is the name of a character of a cartoon from Hanna & Barbera, called Magilla Gorilla.
