  • I'm Not A Pilot Yet, But I Want To Be.

    9.5
David boards a routine flight to visit a doctor in Chicago who may be able to help him with his problem. The plane is also carrying some valuable Egyptian artifacts which one of the pilots and a flight attendant intend to steal by drugging the entire flight crew and then parachuting out together with the stolen goods. With the entire flight crew unconscious, David and a teen-age boy (who's studying to become a pilot) must fly the plane themselves and make a risky emergency landing in Denver.moreless
  • The Hulk Pilots a Jet

    9.5
Another example of the series lifting liberally from a feature film (this time "Airport 75"), this is by far the best episode guilty of that charge and, actually, one of the best episodes of the season and series.

Banner's aboard a 747 bound for California when he's left in a dilly of a pickle by a couple of members of the flight crew who're bound and determined to drug their colleagues and abscond with priceless Egyptian artifacts. Of course, Banner unwittingly intervenes and the Hulk ends up landing the jet and navigating safely down the runway at Denver airport!

Farfetched? Yep. Entertaining? No doubt about it!

Notable also for the guest appearance of Brandon Cruz, Bixby's co-star on the popular 1970s sitcom "The Courtship of Eddie's Father."

Banner's protracted transformation into the creature (and efforts to hold it off) while at the wheel of the jet is a series classic, too.

  • The transformation while David is in the cockpit of the plane is priceless, watching him struggle through it was a great job of the makeup department and the writing of the show! A must-see.moreless

David gets on a plane. Unbeknownst to the crew, the pilot and the stewardess are trying to steal an Egyptian exhibit that could be worth millions. The Hulk goes into action and the pilot is out of it about a 1/3 into the episode. A passenger gets sick, David says the plane needs to land but of course, chaos ensues!

David has to land the plane but the stress results in one of the most brilliant transformations of the series. One of my top 10 Hulk episodes!moreless
