David Banner poses as a top physics doctor to infiltrate a research complex in order to access some gamma-ray equipment that may just be able to cure him of his green alter ego. He is about to start the attempt of reversing his condition when an earthquake strikes, blowing his cover, causing mass destruction and devastation, and setting off an impending core melt-down.

The Hulk vs. an Earthquake

Not a bad episode, but one that suffers from the first season's predilection for stealing from a feature film. Thankfully, its the last time this is noticeably the case, with a heavy infusion of footage here from the 1970's cheesefest "Earthquake."

Banner gains access to a high-security facility in hopes of using specialized equipment to eradicate his "illness." But, of course, a conveniently-timed earthquake prevents that and instigates an appearance of the Hulk.

We have a hard time believing Bixby, seen as somewhat of a perfectionist, enjoyed acting in shows built around a plot derived from stock footage. But it's by no means an unpleasant way to spend an hour.moreless
