    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    • TRIVIA (3)

      • In one quick shot of the Hulk as he is on the plane, his shirt is around his neck; but it had already blown off minutes before.

      • Alias: David Braynard (Beginning of Episode) David Banner after going home
        Job: n/a

      • In David's flashback scenes of his mother, which take place in the 1940's, the young David is sporting a typical 70's hairdo, contemporary for the time the episode was filmed, hardly something one would expect to see in a boy in the 40's.

    • QUOTES (6)

      • (Jack McGee is at the Banner house, talking to Helen, who is under the pretense that David is deceased)
Jack McGee: Dr. Banner, I can't accept the Hulk's appearance in Treverton is just a coincidence. You see, that creature was seen in your brother's laboratory the night that he died.
Helen: My brother never talked to us about his work.

      • D.W.: You never let me be part of your life.
David: You never wanted to be part of my life. You wanted me to be part of yours, and I couldn't do that.
D.W.: So you turned your back on me.
David: You left me no choice.

      • (While visiting his mother's grave, David recalls the day she became seriously ill)
Elizabeth: (to David, in a flashback) If you were already a doctor, I'd be well tomorrow. You will be the to cure everything.
DavidL (In the present time) Not everything, Mom.

      • (David has agreed to stay with Helen, just long enough to help her create a weapon that would destroy a plague that is threatening the family farm)
David: Helen, you came into this, knowing that I was going to have to leave.
Helen: I know, I know. I'll just have to think up some pestilence to keep you here.

      • Helen: Why did you even bother to come back here?
David: I, uh, couldn't spend another Thanksgiving alone.

      • Helen: (upon seeing David on her property) David, you're alive!
