Lacking the über-dramatics of the US version, this series was very watchable, but didn't really engage me until about episode four. I'm a law junkie from a long way back, and perhaps the dearth of technical details in the early episodes left me feeling incomplete at the end.
Along comes the half-way point, and everything just lock-steps. Interesting cases, enough legal minutiae to make me happy and jabs at the US to tickle my funny bone. There was a rape case where they explored consent, a homicide that was perhaps a suicide, an untruthful client or two, and the drama sort of started to build. I believe they ended this too soon. Another four or five episode, and it really would have been an above-average to excellent series. Perhaps a second series will be ordered and they'll have another chance.
