  • Another funny episode from this great series.

Sadly this is the last episode of the current season so I'm hoping they'll be back for a fourth season next year. Although not quite as hilarious as the others in the season, this was still funny enough with quite a few laugh out loud moments. There was nowhere near enough of Moss, unfortunately, but Roy and Jen were really good. The geeks were really funny when Roy was photographing them and I loved Douglas's line about gloomy pictures of morons. The IT Crowd is such an excellent comedy that it deserves to run for a few more episodes yet!moreless
  • Silly, but still funny.

    8.1
The IT Crowd is The United Kingdom's equivalent of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. A cutting-edge show that pushes the limits and is innovative, and incredibly hilarious.

This episode featured a storyline that was a little ridiculous, even by The IT Crowd standards. But I will be damned if I did not laugh out loud throughout the entire half hour. Some great lines from Roy, who showed some personality for the first time all season. Unfortunately Moss and Douglas were not given much time. Their presence would certainly have made this a much stronger episode but Douglas calling the bosseyed man "Goofy" was still excellent.

Probably the weakest finale to date but by no means a bad episode.moreless

  • QUOTES (5)

    • Douglas: Whoa! Someone's played an awful prank. There's nothing here but gloomy pictures of morons.
Jen: No, not morons. Geeks. They're sexy now. You know, geek chic.
Douglas: Geek chic? I want to tear my eyes out.

    • Roy: All I have to do now is hit the streets and find six old women that I never me who would be happy to take all of their clothes off and let me take photograph of them.
Jen: Why are you doing this?
Roy: Same reason I do everything, Jen. To have sex with a lady.
      Jen: Aw.

    • Jen: What kind of man would want to photograph a bunch of beautiful women without any clothes on, Roy?
Roy: The kind of man who wants to help people, Jen.
Jen: No, I don't like it. I find it very offensive.
Roy: No, it's going to be tasteful.
      Jen: No it's not.
Roy: You're right, it's not. It's not. It's going to be rude. It's going to be sexy. All the things that men like and it's going to make a million quid for that charity.

    • Nadine: Have you nearly finished, Roy?
      Roy: Yeah.
Nadine: You're taking a very long time.
Roy: It's a very complicated problem. You've got a lot of chaberanks in your hard drive.

    • Roy: What kind of society are we living in? Apparently we are living in the kind of society that sees a man who just wants to take photos of some naked old ladies as some sort of weirdo.

  • NOTES (1)

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • Jen: Taking your clothes off,
if it's unemployed men or old ladies from Yorkshire,
it's fun.... This could be tasteful, like
      the one Helen Mirren did.

Jen appears to be alluding to the films The Full Monty - about a group of unemployed men who start a striptease act - and Calendar Girls, which stars Helen Mirren and is based on the true story of a group of older women from Yorkshire who make a nude calendar to raise money for leukemia research.
