Jack: (admiring the turtle in the aquarium) Say, this is a pretty big turtle you've got there.
Frances: Oh, we find him very interesting. Jack, you know some turtles have been known to live for over 100 years.
Jack: Over 100 years? Gee. Look how wrinkled and shriveled and dried up his skin is. How old is this one?
Frances: Uh, 39.
Mortimer Snerd: (upon noticing Jack in the room) Look! The turtle got out of the aquarium!
Jack: (after arguing with Don) Does your wife know about that contract you and I have?
Don: Well, yes Jack. It's no different. I've always worked from week to week.
Jack: But if you look at the fine print, this year you're working from word to word. You could get fired between "yours" and "truly."
This is a filmed episode. The Charlie McCarthy/Mortimer Snerd sketch was originally staged on the live episode Frances and Edgar Bergen on 12/18/1955.
