Jack plugs his appearance this Thursday (4/24/1952) on The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show. He says its in return for them having appeared on his last program.
(Jack's just tried to pull the stuck bowling ball off of Dennis' fingers)
Jack: This is a fine how do you do! Where's a knife!
Jack: No! No! No! No!
(discussing Jack's previous show)
Jack: I was in a hurry to get home, and I didn't want to take off my dress, so I walked out to the parking lot that way.
Rochester: So what happened?
Jack: A sailor grabbed me by the arm and before I knew it, we were dancing at the Palladium.
Jack: Yeah. They you one drink and they think they own you!
An "inside" joke about television is made in this episode. CBS doesn't want Jack to not look directly into the cameras because his vibrant blue eyes would transmit color directly into people's homes, and the network didn't have approval yet. At the time, RCA (NBC) and CBS were locked in battle, each trying to get the FCC to approve their respective system for transmitting color TV pictures.
This is Dennis Day's first appearance on Jack Benny's television program.
