Jack Carter's guests include Metropolitan Opera star Gladys Swarthout, actress Vera Vague, and dancers the Berry Brothers. In a take-off on opera, Carter plays Escamillo, Vague as Carmen and regular Donald Richards as Don Jose. Richards sings "Soliloquy" and joins Carter in a satire of TV merchandising as Roy Richards and Skip-a-long Carter. Swarthout sings "Habanera" from "Carmen."
