      • Title: Guess Who's Not Coming to Dinner?

This is a play on the the title of the 1967 movie Guess Who's Coming to Dinner which starred Katharine Hepburn (who won an Oscar for this performance) and Spencer Tracy in their last movie together. This movie also starred Sidney Poitier in one of his most famous roles, Dr. John Wade Prentice.

      • Junior: I'm just glad he's not playing in the dugout because baseball been very very good to me.

This is an allusion to the catchphrase of the early Saturday Night Live character Chico Escuela, who was a Puerto Rican baseball player. The catchphrase, which was spoken with a Puerto Rican accent, was Baseball been very very good to me. Escuela was played by the same man who plays Junior King: Mr. Garrett Morris. Garrett Morris was the first African American cast member in Saturday Night Live's history. He paved the way for such stars as Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, and Tracy Morgan.
